The StandardX, Melbourne is seeking a highly skilled CDP and Commis Chef to join our culinary team.

We are looking for individuals who share our passion for quality food, have a good understanding of kitchen operations, Asian cuisine, and order of service.

Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the execution of daily culinary operations, managing multiple tasks in a high-energy kitchen environment, and maintaining a clean, safe working area at all times.

You will be responsible for preparing mise-en-place requirements, food for senior chefs, and ensuring compliance with relevant occupational health and safety procedures, including HACCP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain a clean working area.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of food safety requirements and implement them in your work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and seniors in the kitchen.
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation, as well as maintaining inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Chef de Partie or Commis Chef experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Asian cuisine and order of service.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends.
