Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team. As a Motor Mechanic at Carselling.com PTY LTD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every vehicle we service meets the highest standards of safety and reliability. Your expertise will help our customers drive away with confidence, knowing their vehicle has been meticulously cared for by an experienced professional.
Key Responsibilities- Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and test and reassemble components.
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Deal with customers on a day-to-day basis and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner.
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Re-line and adjust brakes and perform wheel alignments.
- Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to hand over to client.
- Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
- Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic is required.
- A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in motor mechanics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
$70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus Superannuation
