Job Posting:

The Australian Government requires an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to oversee security requirements and documentation updates for the upcoming IRAP assessment.

This role ensures compliance with the Information Security Manual and supports secure service delivery across the platform.

The appointed specialist will work closely with the team to provide expert guidance, ensure security controls remain current, and identify new controls required to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert cyber security advice and guidance to the team.
  • Interpret current security controls against updated ISM and SSPA controls, identifying new controls required for compliance.
  • Update and maintain key security documentation, including SRMP, SSP, SSA, CM Plan, DR&BC Plan, Incident Response Plan, and Support platform security enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of five years' technical ICT experience with at least two years dedicated to information security for systems governed by the ISM and related publications.
  • Proficiency in implementing the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential 8 strategies.
