We are seeking a skilled lawyer to join our Government & Commercial Law team in Canberra.
The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a professional to work on information law engagements and digital transformation projects, advising government clients on privacy law, confidentiality, and legislation decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice on federal privacy law, archives, FOI, and statutory secrecy provisions
- Managing privacy assessments and complaints
- Providing guidance on ethical data use
To be successful in this role, you will have 2-5 years' experience in information law, preferably with a focus on federal privacy law. You should also have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, building effective relationships with clients and peers.
Required Skills and QualificationsYou will require:
- Strong understanding of federal privacy law and its application
- Ability to provide clear and concise advice to clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
