Marine Operations Specialist for Lizard Island Resort

The Delaware North group, a world-class hospitality and service company, seeks a Marine Operations Specialist to join our team at Lizard Island Resort.
Located within the Great Barrier Reef, this unique resort offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a breathtakingly beautiful environment.
The Marine Operations Specialist will be responsible for assisting in all boating operations, including tour preparations, beach-side guest inductions, water transport services, and vessel servicing.
This role requires the ability to maintain marine equipment, operate marine vehicles safely and efficiently, and ensure the highest level of customer service delivery.
A key aspect of this position is meeting and greeting guests, conducting tours, spearheading activities, and overseeing property transfers.
In addition, the successful candidate will support the implementation of plans and strategies to improve operational efficiency and speed of service.
A Certificate of Competency - Full Grade 1 Coxswain or higher is required for this role, along with other relevant certifications such as manual driver's license, Long Range Operator certificate of proficiency, Responsible Service of Alcohol, AS 2299 diving medical certificate, Provide Advanced Resuscitation, and Oxygen Therapy certificate.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the marine environment, dive industry, and resort flora, fauna, bird, and animal life. Fishing guide experience and PADI instructor certification are highly desirable.
This is a physically demanding role that requires a high level of fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
