Editorial Lead Position

We are seeking a skilled Editorial Lead to oversee the entire editorial process from manuscript submission through to publication.

About the Job

This full-time role involves coordinating all editorial operations, ensuring manuscripts are processed efficiently and journal policies and ethical standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the editorial workflow from manuscript submission and peer review through to publication.
  • Support editors-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, associate editors, and editorial board members.
  • Maintain editorial and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with publishers, authors, and reviewers to maintain journal quality and visibility.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance submissions, readership, citation impact, and international profile.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary degree or higher in a science and/or health discipline.
  • At least three years' experience in academic publishing, including peer review, editorial processes, and publication ethics.
  • Familiarity with scientific or medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with editorial management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
