Product Management Specialist

This is a senior role within the Product Management team, responsible for leading the development and execution of operational plans for end-to-end lifecycle management of individual products and entire product classes.

  • Develop and execute operational plans to manage product lifecycles and drive business objectives related to product health, financial targets, and customer growth and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, distribution, and digital teams to identify and implement business improvements across the product portfolio.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of business improvements across the product portfolio and ensure adherence to risk compliance and promote a customer-centric culture across the division.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of product management experience within an insurance based legal practice or large-scale insurer or financial services organisation, preferably in commercial lines insurance.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance product structure and experience in drafting insurance products.
  • Strong ability to integrate inputs from pricing, underwriting, portfolio management, and distribution to optimize product lifecycles and profitability.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing product strategy, design, governance, and pricing across multiple product classes and stakeholder groups.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, insurance, or related fields, with industry certifications such as ANZIIF preferred.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, strategic thinking, and stakeholder coordination skills, with a customer-centric and innovation-driven mindset. They will be able to work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to significantly impact product performance and profitability across IAG's portfolio.
