Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a professional to provide support and guidance to individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug (AOD) use. This role involves conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based counselling, and promoting recovery through supervision and guidance.
About the Role- Support and guide individuals and families affected by AOD use
- Conduct thorough assessments and deliver effective counselling services
- Promote recovery and reduce AOD-related harm
- Tertiary qualification in a health or welfare related discipline
- Relevant experience working with Aboriginal communities and understanding systemic issues
- AOD or dual diagnosis counselling experience
- Strong collaboration skills and knowledge of therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Practice, Narrative Therapy, Family Inclusive Practice, and Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA)
