Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement construction plans and methods to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate material management and quantity verification.
  • Conduct technical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project systems and area scoping to ensure accurate package development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Oil & Gas or LNG Project construction experience as a Field Engineer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Australian Codes & Standards for Structural Steel Installation.
  • Proficiency in Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) – Teamworks, Unifier, Cornerstone, SteelSlayer, DSCS.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). The candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.
