Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation and logistics business.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all vehicles are properly loaded and unloaded, and that drivers are following company procedures and regulations.

You will also be responsible for managing internal and external customer relationships, preparing loading/unloading documentation, and analyzing data to improve operational efficiency.

In addition, you will provide guidance and support to drivers, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and participate in operational toolbox meetings and OHS sessions.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, has excellent communication skills, and can provide professional advice to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • The ability to direct and guide staff credibly
  • Ability to identify and remedy operational inefficiencies and service problems
  • Intimate knowledge of multi-purpose fleet including, prime movers, body trucks and specialist equipment
  • Understanding of and the ability to apply geographical knowledge to operations in order to effectively allocate and direct drivers
  • Transport background preferable but not mandatory, including a working knowledge and solid understanding of relevant policies and legislation
