We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a modern care home in Caulfield, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality maintenance services across the facility, ensuring that all aspects of the property are maintained to a high standard.

About the Role

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional maintenance services, including repairs and preventative maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents. You will also be responsible for managing a team of maintenance staff and providing guidance and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance issues and develop plans to address them;
  • Manage and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks and ensuring that they are completed to a high standard;
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure that all equipment and facilities are functioning properly;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives;
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications in a relevant trade or field (e.g. Certificate III in Building Services or equivalent);
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results and exceeding expectations.
