Park Network Manager

We are seeking a proactive and organised professional to manage Hobart's parks and open spaces. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in enhancing our park network through strategic planning, contractor coordination, and community engagement.
- Manage external contractors to ensure compliance with City standards and specifications.
- Create a park care program, liaising with community groups and organising weekend activities and rosters.
- Maintain inspection programs for green assets and contribute to long-term park improvement and planting plans.
- Respond professionally to public enquiries, ensuring all communications are documented appropriately.
- Assist with policy reviews and service level documentation to support high-quality park management.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A certificate IV in Horticulture (or similar), a current Drivers Licence and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Demonstrated experience in managing parks operations, including contractor oversight and project delivery.
- Strong horticultural knowledge with the ability to prepare technical specifications and manage procurement processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, resolve issues, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in maintaining asset databases and planning for both short and long-term park improvements.
