Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation through the delivery of professional and strategic financial management services.

This is a full-time, continuing position based at our campus in Townsville. The salary for this role is HEWL 8: $108,964 - $125,126 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

About the Role

  • The Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of our financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • You will coordinate auditing activities, manage and resolve complex accounting and taxation queries, and provide contemporary advice on financial matters.
  • Your expertise will contribute significantly to our organisational success and integrity.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a postgraduate qualification in financial/business management, accounting or commerce as well as current membership with a professional accounting body.

Proven experience in financial accounting, a detailed understanding of Australian accounting standards and high-level analytical skills are essential.

You must have high-level communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally.
