About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide small group initiatives for students with diverse needs, work with teachers to support these students in their class, and collaborate with the Learning Support team to ensure students receive the support they need.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with diverse needs and a strong commitment to Christian values. They will be able to demonstrate excellent teaching skills, as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, and be able to receive feedback on their teaching and implement changes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers to support students with diverse needs.
  3. Collect and analyse educational data to inform teaching practices.
  4. Develop and implement interventions to improve student outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with the Learning Support team to ensure students receive the support they need.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications in Education or a related field.
  2. Experience working with students with diverse needs.
  3. Strong commitment to Christian values.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
