Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics and communications, with experience in managing teams and delivering training.

  • Oversight of the Technical Service department, comprising Electronics, IT, and Solar/Electrical teams.
  • Providing expert advice on technical matters, both internally and externally, to drive quality service excellence.
  • Planning and maintaining annual operational plans, supervising invoicing and generating regular reports.
  • Supervision of apprenticeship programs, equipping technical supervisors to manage trainees effectively.
  • Contribution to management meetings, policy making, and decision-making processes.
  • Participation in monitoring the Radio Network and handling emergency calls.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification in radio, electronics, computing, or a related field is essential.
  • Bible College Training/TEE course or equivalent is desirable.
  • Sound theoretical knowledge of electronics and communications.
  • Understanding of AC-coupled solar systems and AC/DC coupled systems.
  • Project Management experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering are required.
  • Fluency in English (spoken & written) and experience working in a cross-cultural team are essential.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in radio and/or electronics, including servicing, manufacturing, and design.
  • Experience in managing people and delivering training is preferred.
