Job Title: Planning and Environment Lawyer
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Planning & Environment Lawyer to join our dynamic Public Law team. The successful candidate will work closely with our partners, collaborating on both litigious and advisory environmental, planning and regulatory matters for our public and private clients.
Key Responsibilities- Providing expert advice on Federal and State environmental regulation, planning and approval processes, contaminated land, and statutory processes;
- Working on contracts related to similar matters, such as voluntary planning agreements, waste contracts and contracts relating to contaminated land;
- Conducting thorough research to support advisory and transactional work;
- Staying up-to-date with regulatory developments;
- Conducting due diligence on environmental and statutory processes;
- 2-3+ years PQE doing similar work or alternatively have a legal background and keen to return to private practice;
- Excellent technical and drafting skills;
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- An inquiring mind as well as sound judgement and a can-do attitude;
- A commitment to teamwork and achieving challenging objectives;
- Strong academic qualifications;
