Job Opportunity: Waste and Cleansing Leadership

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to oversee waste collection, disposal and cleansing services.

  • Strategic planning and delivery of operational services is key to success in this role.
  • Contractor relationships and performance must be effectively managed.
  • Customer service focus is essential across all waste and cleansing functions.
  • Operational planning, compliance with relevant legislation and budget management are crucial skills required.
  • Driving continuous improvement and organisational development within the team is vital.
  • Representing the organisation at stakeholder forums and attending Council meetings is a significant responsibility.
  • Leadership and collaboration across the organisation are also expected.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as environmental science or management.
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing industrial workforces.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management capability.
  • Strategic planning skills across operational and environmental functions.
  • Effective contractor management and service excellence delivery skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence is highly desirable.
