Rapid Response Practitioners play a vital role in providing intensive, in-home support to families in crisis. This unique opportunity offers the chance to work closely with two families at a time, developing safety-focused plans and addressing protective concerns.

About the Role
  • Work intensively with families at the point of crisis, utilizing a strengths-based approach to build on parental strengths and skills.
  • Hold a small caseload of only two families, providing up to 15 hours of face-to-face support per week.

Your Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline is essential, with diploma level qualifications suitable with relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in a therapeutic environment, ideally utilizing recognized therapy practices such as CBT.
  • An understanding of complex needs, mental health, AOD, and family violence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and rapport with families.

You will also need to possess the ability to engage quickly and assess risk, as well as be willing to work outside of normal hours to see families together and at home.
