Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and special diets for children and staff
  • Support the Centre in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service to families and staff, including greeting and serving food and beverages
  • Participate in regular culinary classes with the children, promoting a love of food and cooking
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high-quality food outcomes
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Hospitality Certificate and Food Safety Certificate
  • Current Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain
  • Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen (preferred, but not essential)
