Job Overview

The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a strategic procurement professional to lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliant purchasing processes.

This role plays a key part in ensuring procurement is fit-for-purpose and supports the timely acquisition and management of equipment and professional services.

  • Developing and implementing processes to engage people with lived experience of mental health or psychological distress;
  • Leading end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, documentation, approvals, vendor engagement, and contract finalisation;
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining procurement and funding documentation, systems, and records;
  • Providing operational support for finance, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including use of Oracle, PowerBI, and the Commitments Register;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation and experience in procurement, contract, and finance management;
  • A relevant tertiary qualification desirable;
  • Demonstrated experience working with people who have a past or current lived experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress preferable.
