Job Role Overview

The Student Wellbeing Leader plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall wellbeing experience of students, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive positive change and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish high expectations for student success and achievement
  • Embody a collaborative approach to wellbeing, fostering effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic wellbeing interventions
  • Lead impactful wellbeing initiatives that align with Catholic education values
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant child safety and wellbeing legislation
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth

Requirements

  • Experience with Positive Behaviours for Learning approach
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Understanding of evidence-based best practices and high-impact teaching strategies in wellbeing
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or willingness to pursue this accreditation
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
