
Strategic Sales Director

Sustainable sales growth for Penfolds across retail and on-premise channels requires a skilled Key Account Manager to drive strategic account development, brand visibility, and execution excellence.
This role involves managing key customer relationships and leading a small team to achieve commercial objectives.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic growth plans across key retail and on-premise accounts in line with commercial objectives.
- Build strong relationships with banner groups, MSOs, and hospitality ownership groups to drive brand visibility and availability.
- Lead and coach a team of two Key Account Executives, fostering high performance and execution excellence.
- Negotiate and manage joint business plans, promotional activity, and new product launches to optimise portfolio performance.
- Provide market insights and customer intelligence to inform internal strategy and decision-making.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, investment tracking, and delivery of customer commitments.
- A degree in business, marketing or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a strong strategic focus.
- An understanding of managing wholesalers.
- Strong face-to-face sales skills and ability to close the sale.
- A passion for luxury wine and the ability to talk about it - WSET qualification is a plus.
