Psychologist Position at Outlook Psychology Practice

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team in a culturally immersive position at Outlook Psychology Practice in Nhulunbuy, NT. As a Psychologist at Outlook Psychology Practice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Aboriginal Health Practitioner trainees and Cultural Liaison Officers, providing culturally appropriate services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure clients receive culturally appropriate services, using interpreters and commitment to cultural education and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records through data collection, recording, and file keeping.
  • Provide high-quality services through continuing professional development, clinical, and cultural supervision.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for people.
  • Relate to people in a manner that is culturally relevant and appropriate to their developmental and cognitive level of functioning, providing services in a friendly manner.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification) in Psychology.
  • Current unconditional registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligible for Medicare Provider Number.
  • Public Liability Insurance/Practising Insurance.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong capability to work independently and as a valued team member.
  • Current Ochre Card and Criminal History Check.
