Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at Yutjuwala Djiwarr, a new residential aged care facility in Nhulunbuy, Gove. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide person-centred nursing care to residents, working collaboratively with individuals and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to residents, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to less experienced clinicians and support workers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of care services and resident outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
  • Rights to work in Australia.
  • Commitment to relocate to Nhulunbuy, Gove, NT.
  • Demonstrated understanding of resident-centred and residential-based care services delivery, with a preference for working with First Nations communities.
  • Knowledge of policy review and implementation for clinical governance.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills and experience with automated technology.
