Senior Medical Leadership Opportunity

This is a pivotal position for an experienced medical professional to lead medical services across the Western Sydney Local Health District.

The successful candidate will bring high-level technical skills and extensive leadership experience in senior medical positions, collaborating with a large medical workforce, providing strategic direction and governance with a strong focus on safety and quality.

  • A key aspect of this role is driving excellence in healthcare delivery, ensuring that medical services are of the highest standard, and aligning with the district's goals and objectives.

Candidates must possess a strong background in medicine, with qualifications including Australian Fellowship/Specialist Registration at time of applying, a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia, as well as Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, or an equivalent specialist qualification.

Once appointed, the selected candidate will be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District, enabling them to make a significant contribution to the district's medical services.

Terms of appointment are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
