We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at Entura, specializing in Transmission Line Design. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design of transmission lines and substations, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of transmission lines and substations, including lattice structures, conductor loads, and attachment point loads.
- Develop and implement design solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in transmission line design.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least ten years of experience in structural design work, with a focus on transmission line and substation design.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995, and AS 1170.
- Experience with computer design packages, such as PLS Tower and PLS Pole.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
