Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in an exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with awards, superannuation, and Fair Work obligations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities using Unipay (transitioning to Employment Hero)
  • Ensure compliance with awards, superannuation, and Fair Work obligations in conjunction with the People and Culture team
  • Reconcile payroll reports, STP submissions, leave entitlements, and employee records
  • Work closely with People & Culture to support onboarding, terminations, and audits
  • Lead payroll queries with professionalism and discretion
  • Participate in the rollout and testing of our new payroll system

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven payroll experience in a multi-site, award-based environment – automotive industry experience highly regarded
  • Hands-on experience with Unipay and ideally a transition to a cloud-based HRIS like Employment Hero
  • Strong understanding of NES, payroll tax, STP, and superannuation compliance
  • A keen eye for detail, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable navigating change – you enjoy working in evolving, people-driven environments
