Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced support worker to partner with a 68-year-old male participant with a spinal cord injury.

The ideal candidate will have a reliable, proactive and positive attitude, and be able to assist with daily living tasks, including bowel therapy, domestic tasks, health and rehab exercises, hoisting, personal care and skin checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
  • Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
  • Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
  • Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
  • Assistance with personal care
  • Completing skin checks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current WWCC
  • Manual Handling Certificate

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position working varying shifts, including morning, afternoon and evening shifts, on weekends and public holidays.

Applicants must be willing to work in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures and adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

Two current references are required.
