Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at ASC Pty Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and governance of our accounting data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general and project ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Analyze and understand general ledger and overhead costings, ensuring alignment with direct project costs.
  • Assist in preparing responses for annual customer audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Process journals to both projects and general ledgers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations on assigned accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Comply with all WHS policies and procedures, as well as ASC's Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Policy.
  • Manage and safeguard ASC's financial interests, ensuring conformity with all finance compliance requirements.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and develop systems and internal controls to increase efficiencies and establish a continuous improvement culture.
Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in a similar role within a mid to large corporate environment or an accounting firm.
  • CA or CPA qualifications or studying towards full membership.
  • Sound knowledge and experience working with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and build strong working relationships.
  • Current National Police Clearance and Australian Defence Security Clearance.
