Job Title: Deputy CFO

Join a dynamic team at REO Group as we seek a highly skilled Deputy CFO to lead our finance operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

About the Role

The Deputy CFO will be responsible for managing and executing corporate and program finance activities, supporting financial decisions across the organization, and managing and maintaining our insurance and risk strategies. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage our financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, tax, and auditing. Ensure financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet our short and long-term strategic business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
  • Risk and Insurance: Management and oversight of our insurance and risk strategies, including business continuity planning and sustainability strategies.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Management of our infrastructure planning, including long-term strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement our financial strategy.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly financial reporting and financial statement preparation. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CFO, CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Provide direction to the Finance and Accounting team to ensure their ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Certified as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning.
  • Demonstrated experience upholding high ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and business practices.
  • You will also be required to obtain a security clearance and therefore are required to be an Australian Citizen.
