Job Opportunity: Mental Health Clinician

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension up to 3 years. We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician (AHPRA or eligible for AASW registration) to join our Clinical Outreach and Groups team in Elizabeth.

The successful candidate will collaboratively manage and coordinate the region's Outreach Program through liaison with management and staff.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting services to potential new contractors
  • Direct provision of high-quality clinical services including initial intake, assessment, and referral, evidence-based counseling, case management as required.
  • Coordinating and participating in selection, orientation, and sourcing of experienced counselors
  • Compliance checking and continuous improvement activities
  • Providing clinical liaison and support for contractors in private practice
  • Organizing training and professional development for Open Arms contract counselors to value add to their experience of working with the organization.
  • Liaising and forming partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience as a fully registered mental health clinician either a Psychologist, Social Worker, Registered Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (must be AHPRA or eligible for AASW registration)
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance held and maintained while employed
  • Australian Citizenship
