Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead examinations at facilities where children and young people are deprived of their liberty, utilizing project management and investigation techniques for effective oversight and successful outcomes.
  • Develop high-level, evidence-based advice and support for relevant authorities, ensuring alignment with established expectations and driving strategic initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
  • SUPPORT advisory efforts focused on relevant authorities and conduct activities, including meetings, to educate and raise awareness about the prevention of torture and ill-treatment.
  • Oversee and drive follow-up on practice improvement activities across organizations, preparing high-level authoritative advice for relevant authorities or their delegates.
  • Support the broader team within the office, addressing complex queries and delivering timely expert guidance to organizations on matters concerning the prevention of torture and ill-treatment.
  • Undertake additional duties as required, which are within the capacity qualifications and experience normally expected of individuals in positions at this classification level.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current registration to work with vulnerable people (registration status employment).

Pre-employment Checks:

  • Pre-employment checks for arson violent crimes sex-related offenses drug and alcohol-related offenses crimes involving dishonesty deception conspiracy making false declarations malicious damage destruction to property serious traffic offenses crimes against public order relating to the Administration of Law and Justice Executive or the Legislative Power.

Desirable Requirements:

  • A current driver's license.
