Senior Executive Director of Operations

This pivotal leadership role oversees the financial and operational management of a not-for-profit organisation.

  • Strategically oversee the organisation's financial operations, including budgeting and comprehensive reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and not-for-profit guidelines.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to align with organisational goals.
  • Effectively manage and support the administration and facilities teams.
  • Responsible for managing diverse external stakeholders while prioritising multiple objectives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the leadership team on financial and operational matters.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including funders and suppliers.
  • Monitor and enhance organisational risk management frameworks.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to optimise resources and systems.

A successful Senior Executive Director of Operations should possess:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Law, HR or a related field.
  • Strong finance expertise with oversight of financial management, budget development and compliance reporting.
  • Desirable experience in the not-for-profit sector or Education.
  • Operational and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience with compliance and risk management practices.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
