About the Role

As a leader, you'll be responsible for driving customer-focused product development, playing a key role in evolving technical and people culture. You'll work cross-functionally with product, design, IT and data teams — and help scale both systems and people in a fast-growing environment. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role with a clear path to senior leadership, offering the chance to solve hard problems while doing work that actually matters.

You'll be leading and mentoring a team of 3–5 engineers, setting a high bar for delivery and collaboration. You'll also partner with Product and Design to scope, prioritise and deliver retention-focused features. Additionally, you'll work with VP-level stakeholders to translate business priorities into clear engineering plans.

What You'll Be Doing

Tech Environment:

  • Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, Vue.js, NestJS
  • Architecture: Microservices
  • Databases: PostgreSQL
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, CI/CD, containerisation
  • Practices: Secure coding, test automation, continuous delivery

Experience in software engineering whilst managing or coaching high-performing teams. Experience working on customer-facing cloud software at scale. Strong product instincts and a user-centric mindset. Proven track record of cross-functional delivery and alignment with Product, IT, and Data. Technical depth - still capable of guiding design and architecture decisions. A strong leadership ethos focused on team growth, trust, and autonomy.
