About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, Capability Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise in capability development, service delivery reforms, and projects to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support capability development in the emergency management sector by providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Inform policy directions by conducting research and analysis on emerging issues and trends.
  • Conduct cross-government stakeholder management by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate service delivery reforms or major initiatives by providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Provide well-researched and sound options by identifying emerging issues on which the organization can rely for effective decision making or delivery.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Experience in developing and implementing service delivery reforms, strategic initiatives, or interagency projects with a focus on capability development.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience, and training.
  • Experience in leading and project managing complex, cross-agency projects.
  • Solutions-focussed, work well under pressure, and can proactively manage competing demands and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and engage senior decision-makers with confidence.
  • Experience in undertaking all aspects of the policy process – research, development, implementation, review, and evaluation.
