Emergency Response Role

As an Emergency Services Officer, you will be a vital member of our emergency response team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the day-to-day running of emergency services, medical, and security teams is maintained at optimal levels.

  • Respond to on-site emergencies and maintain operational readiness.
  • Provide leadership and training services for the emergency response volunteer team (ERT) and other site departments in emergency management practices.
  • Conduct equipment preparedness inspections and reporting.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in site emergency drills.
  • Assist in providing site security services.
  • Provide medical services and ensure medical facilities are maintained in operationally ready status.

Maintaining a high level of fitness is essential for this role. We encourage applicants with pre-hospital healthcare qualifications such as the Certificate IV in Health Care to apply.

Essential Requirements:
  • Rope rescue and road crash rescue experience.
  • Firefighting and confined space rescue skills.
  • Breathing apparatus (Open Circuit) proficiency.
  • Introduction to AIIMS knowledge (desirable).
  • Previous experience in the mining and resource sector.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
