Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Metallurgist/Process Engineer to join our team as a Metallurgical Innovator - Process Development Specialist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our industry by developing innovative solutions for metallurgical processes.

Responsibilities
  • Pioneering new methodologies through in-house and on-site test programs
  • Conducting metallurgical testing and analysis to drive progress
  • Collaborating with process engineering teams during on-site commissioning
  • Installing pilot plant equipment at customer sites
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to raise the bar for excellence
  • Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field
  • At least 2 years of experience in the mining industry as a Metallurgist
  • Experience in Froth flotation and gold leaching processes is essential
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment for sample preparation and metallurgical testing
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, benefits include onsite car parking, extra superannuation contributions, and opportunities for professional development.
