We are seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join our multidisciplinary team in Sydney.

Job Description
  • This is an opportunity to work with clients who have complex needs and varied case severity, including victims of sexual assault and family violence.
  • You will provide legal representation and advice, including assisting with victim support applications, providing advice and support for victims and witnesses, advocating with police and other agencies, and referring clients for redress or civil claims.
  • The role also involves criminal defence, broader legal advice and referrals, legal education, policy and law reform work, and supporting the operations of The Shopfront.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience
  • Expertise in at least one of:
  • Clinical law advocacy;
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop further expertise in the other;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to handle high-volume and changing workload;
  • Good understanding of legal, human rights and policy frameworks relating to children and young people;
  • A trauma-informed approach; sensitivity toward clients with histories of abuse and neglect;
  • Commitment to principles of social justice and social inclusion;
  • NSW Working with Children Check clearance;
