About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Associate to Senior Associate to join our Commercial Insurance (Health Law) team in Sydney, working closely with partner Marie-Clare Elder.

About the Team and the Work

Our team is a fast-paced practice specializing in health, medical negligence, and personal injury litigation. We act for medical practitioners, private hospitals/entities, and allied health professionals in clinical negligence proceedings, coronial inquiries, disciplinary and regulatory matters.

  • You will work on a wide range of claims against health professionals, healthcare facilities, and the like, including employment, impaired practitioner hearings, audits and reviews, criminal proceedings, privacy complaints, and hospital inquiries and investigations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 3 years' experience gained in a well-regarded defendant insurance practice. Prior medical negligence experience is desirable.

  • You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and organizational ability.
  • You will have a proactive approach to work and a desire to work in a collaborative and supportive team.
  • You will have a passion for health law or a strong desire to learn about this exciting practice area.
