Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior API Engineer to join our Digital Delivery team.

This is a hands-on development role, playing a key part in building high-quality, scalable APIs that power our digital services.

This is an initial 6 month contract with a daily rate of $900 incl super per day.

  • Develop robust, reusable, and supportable digital assets
  • Drive technology standards and mentor developers across squads
  • Build and maintain APIs using Spring Boot, Apache Camel, , and AWS services
  • Contribute to agile delivery processes and continuous improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

10+ years' experience in API and integration development

Deep knowledge of REST, SOAP, pub-sub, messaging patterns, and microservices

Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA

Strong hands on coding skills - Java 17 or later

Strong AWS experience (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)

Background in Agile delivery and DevOps culture
