Job Opportunity: Migration Registrar

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Migration Registrar to support our judicial team in resolving migration proceedings efficiently and fairly.

Our Mission:

To provide a fair, efficient and effective judicial system that respects the rights of all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determining costs estimates and taxing costs as delegated by Judges.
  • Analyzing migration filings and providing high-level legal advice to Judges and staff.
  • Liaising with stakeholders and supporting the development of migration resources and policy.

Competencies & Attributes Required:

To be successful, applicants must have:

  • Substantial experience in migration law.
  • A sound understanding of case management principles.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.

Major Activities:

Migration Registrars perform:

  • Caseload management and analysis, directing case management steps.
  • Issuing case management directions and orders.

Remuneration Information:

This role offers an annual remuneration range of $110,168 to $129,864, plus 15.4% superannuation.
