Civil/Structural Drafter Job Description

As a member of our Albany Community Development team, you will work with experienced engineers and designers to deliver high-quality drafting solutions in a variety of engineering projects.

  • Learn all facets of CAD, drafting, and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs.
  • Work under the guidance of our Engineers and Designers on engineering projects; and
  • Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit in accordance with project times and budgets, with detailed supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Limited experience or a keen interest in drafting and design in the civil and structural space.
  • An ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel).
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong digital skills, and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • An ability to problem solve and manage your time effectively.
  • Diploma of Engineering Technical (completed or undertaking), and/or Advanced Diploma of Engineering (completed or undertaking) and/or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (completed or undertaking)
