We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Gardens for Wildlife program as a part-time officer. The role will involve collaborating with a team of volunteers to deliver the program and support biodiversity improvements across private land.

">Job Description

The successful candidate will be studying ecology, conservation management, urban horticulture or a related discipline and will share the latest research in urban ecology with the volunteer team.

The role is a part-time position that requires one day per week commitment. You will work closely with the volunteer team to run the program and make a real difference in the community.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of volunteers to deliver the Gardens for Wildlife program.
  • Support biodiversity improvements and community capacity building across private land.
  • Share current urban ecology research with volunteers.

">Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivering high-quality customer service in an administrative support role.
  • Knowledge of urban biodiversity and basic flora and fauna identification skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working with and supporting volunteers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, Council staff, volunteers and community groups.
