We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Assurance Manager to join our team at Bupa Government Contracts. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will play a critical role in supporting the effective implementation of Risk Management Frameworks and related policies and governance activities for government contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Support government contracts with the effective and efficient delivery of governance, risk, quality, health & safety, and compliance frameworks consistent with Bupa A&NZ frameworks and contract requirements.
- Assist management and stakeholders to better understand the risks they face in pursuit of government contract objectives and ensure a risk and governance culture aligned with Bupa values.
- Manage the risk and control framework, providing management with an understanding of the risk profile, control environment, and management of issues and incidents.
- Plan and lead processes for the identification, reporting, and escalation of risk-related matters to government contracts leadership teams and HS risk and governance forums.
- Oversight and management of internal WHS reporting to Bupa stakeholders.
- Collate data, create, and populate various reports for HS Risk and Assurance forums and all reporting to Joint Health Command and equivalent forums.
- Management of WHS risks, including review of controls and effectiveness of controls.
- Support the development and work with the Health Services WHS Specialist to prioritize and action ADF Action Plan.
- Provide operational support to the wider ADF team, contributing to the identification of emerging risk issues and improvement opportunities and initiatives, and promoting health and wellbeing initiatives within ADF.

- 7+ years' experience in implementing risk and control frameworks and experience implementing successful WHS processes and policies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk management or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications in WHS management will be highly regarded.
- Experience in ISO45001 or Australian Standard AS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Accreditation.
- WHS management experience in a large and geographically dispersed organization, preferably in a clinical/health environment.
- Prior experience with the use of GRC systems.
- A proven track record of effective stakeholder management and engagement, including skilful facilitation of risk workshops with senior leadership.
- Sound analytical skills, and the ability to extract insights from information and provide an informed opinion on health & safety risks and the adequacy of controls.
- Well-organized, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to work under significant pressure and intensity, handling multiple competing priorities and working to multiple senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in the ability to influence, negotiate, convince, and persuade through highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership-driven culture and building collaborative working environments.
- This is a Security Cleared Position. The occupant must be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.
