At Lockheed Martin Australia, we are currently seeking an experienced UH-60M System Safety Specialist to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team in Enoggera, QLD.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying system safety techniques to new design activities, including preliminary hazard identification, system requirements/hazard analysis, health hazard analysis, environmental hazard analysis, functional hazard analysis, subsystem & system hazard analysis, and operating and support hazard analysis.

Additionally, you will perform system safety risk assessments in support of technical and design hazards identified during UH-60M operation and maintenance, and record associated safety argumentation within System Safety Assessment Reports and the greater Safety Case Report, as required.

Key responsibilities will also include managing the UH-60M Hazard Log, facilitating platform and project level System Safety Working Groups (SSWGs), and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust consultation and communication of risks and associated controls.

We are seeking an individual with a strong working knowledge of aircraft systems and sub-systems, prior experience coordinating safety programs under the DASR framework, particularly DASR Part 21, and a strong working knowledge of obligations under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the provision of System Safety Management support for In-Service Capability is also required, as well as a strong working knowledge of 'Department of Defense standard Practice: System Safety' [MIL-STD-882E] and its application to the lifecycle of a system.

Excellent communication, team work and conflict resolution skills are also essential for this role.
