Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced social worker to join our team.

The role involves delivering psychosocial interventions and supports to patients and their families, undertaking psychosocial assessments and facilitating family meetings, completing guardianship applications and supporting NDIS-related processes.

You will also receive and manage referrals through the electronic journey board and contribute to patient-centred care in both inpatient and rehab settings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and independent practitioner with strong psychosocial assessment skills to join our dynamic team.

We offer ongoing support from the head of social work and nursing management, monthly supervision and opportunities for reflective practice, connection with the lower hunter social work department, and professional development through the lower hunter allied health department.

  • Must hold at minimum a bachelor degree in social work providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship is required for this position.
