Job Summary

The Shire of Capel is seeking a reliable and friendly Waste Transfer Station Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective disposal of waste, while providing exceptional customer service to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and guide customers in disposing of their waste in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure waste streams are kept sorted, tidy, and safe
  • Provide a high standard of service to our community
  • Cover shifts as needed, including set shifts every fortnight

Requirements

  • Reliable and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good level of fitness, including capacity for lifting
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Cash handling experience
  • Demonstrated customer service experience

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in re-use, waste, or recycling related fields
  • Loader operation experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
