As our Parks Coordinator you will apply your skill and experience in the coordination of construction and maintenance programs for parks, streetscapes and reserves, while providing positive, effective guidance of our team. You will also be responsible for overseeing Natural Resource Management for the Shire, including reserve management plans, NRM projects and contaminated site management and rehabilitation. Working closely with the Manager Parks Waste & Natural Environment and technical officers across the organisation, you will ensure construction and maintenance programs are effectively planned, coordinated, resourced and completed safely, to the required standard and within budget. You will support effective procurement for the team, developing specifications and scope of works for requests for quotation and tender and participating in evaluation of submissions. You will manage the delivery of projects, contractors, and undertake compliance reporting to government agencies. To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience and/or knowledge in construction and maintenance of parks, sport fields, streetscapes, and/or natural reserves
  • Demonstrated programming experience 
  • Contract and project management experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety Regulations

Previous leadership or supervisory experience and demonstrated involvement in compliance reporting and procurement processes will be highly regarded.
