About the Role

The Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join its Commercial Law Unit.

The successful candidate will provide specialist technical and strategic legal advice in areas of law relevant to unit’s work, with particular focus on funding and procurement activity that complies with department policy and supports specific education programs and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing senior technical expertise in commercial law
  • Liaising with portfolio ministers, secretary, and other senior staff to provide direct, practical, and strategic legal advice
  • Supporting Managers of CLU and Director of branch to achieve unit’s and branch’s objectives
