Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the achievement of organisational goals relative to profitability, growth, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve new business targets for assigned accounts to support revenue and profit goals via key strategies:
    • Design and implement effective portfolio analysis and retention strategies
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding book management strategy and maintenance of a unified approach with brokers; provide feedback and recommendations
    • Monitor and report on the status of open claims for assigned accounts and make informed decisions
    • Prepare thoroughly for account reviews with management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry, and market trends
  • Underwriting Quality & Compliance:
    • Adhere to underwriting standards and workflows to support revenue and profit goals
    • Evaluate and accept or decline new lines, renewals, and endorsements
    • Evaluate and make recommendations for acceptance or declination on risks exceeding authority limits
    • Recommend trade-off decisions for account profitability
    • Provide input to Management on profit analysis, premium planning, and market trends
  • Sales & Marketing - Broker and Key Account Management:
    • Meet individual producer targets as specified in organisational goals
    • Develop and implement a business development strategy to prospect for new business across product lines and broker segments
